Client Management

Overview of TekToro's client management and CRM capabilities.

The Client Management module is your central hub for tracking every client relationship in your organization. From initial setup through ongoing project work and invoicing, TekToro keeps all client information organized and accessible.

Key Capabilities

  • Create and edit client records with detailed company information, business details, and address data.
  • Manage contacts — store multiple contacts per client with name, email, phone, and title.
  • Track client activity — a timeline of every change, document upload, project creation, and invoice event.
  • Service rates — define position-based billing rates for each client (regular and overtime).
  • Compliance standards — assign regulatory and compliance requirements to clients.
  • Document storage — upload and manage client-related files directly on the client record.
  • Client portal — invite client contacts to a self-service portal where they can view invoices, projects, and approved work items.

Client Statuses

Every client has one of three statuses:

  • Active — currently engaged and operational.
  • Pending — set up but not yet active.
  • Inactive — no longer engaged but retained for historical records.

The Clients Page

The Clients page displays all your client records with status badges and a statistics row showing your active, pending, and inactive client counts. From here you can create new clients, view details, edit records, change statuses, and delete clients.

Permissions

Access to client management is controlled by granular permissions:

  • clients.view — view the client list and details.
  • clients.create — create new client records.
  • clients.update — edit client information.
  • clients.delete — delete clients.
  • clients.invite — invite client contacts to the portal.
  • clients.manage_settings — modify notification, reporting, and invoicing settings.
  • clients.view_all — view all clients in the workspace (without this, users only see clients linked to their projects).
